Loved it....quite deep stuff though and left me scratching my head in one or two places. I noticed the book at home yesterday, so will probably read this to fill in the blanks.

I'm about 50 pages from the end. Hope the film will shed some light myself :D

6/10. Nicely done but didn't get under my skin. The Zachary dialogue read well, but didn't translate so well to the screen I thought.

Book - 6 Characters from the 19th century to the distant future and their interlocking lives. About 40 pages per chapter focusing on a character, often done in the style of an interview or journal. Then the story abruptly jumps forward to a future period, where some character will discover a portion of the journal etc of the previous character. It then goes back in time one by one and resolves each one in reverse order. Some themes of re-incarnation.

Film - the same but with more bludgeoning and more definitive re-incarnation (unless I just plain missed who was supposed to be who). It hops through the different time periods at random, rather than one at a time.

Thanks for this.

Book first, I reckon, then the film.

It sounds good but I'm glad I have some clue about it before I start - sounds like a lot of concentration is going to be needed, AND a physical book rather than Kindle version (I had to really discipline myself with 'The Time Traveller's Wife' which sounds a bit like Clousd Atlas Lite )

Yeah I found the book more rewarding than the film. But certain sequences were easier to follow than others. The section in the middle uses an invented futuristic vernacular, a bit like A Clockwork Orange did. Much easier to follow in print than on screen I found.

Still haven't seen this. Typical. It'll probably be off when i get to he UK. The book is amazing, though. Totally worth it.
