1 Duck Soup - The Marx Brothers 2 Way Out West - Laurel and Hardy 3 The Gold Rush - Charlie Chaplin 4 Cops - Buster Keaton 5 Mon Oncle - Jacques Tati but that leaves out a load of other films that I adore and is admittedly a rather niche list |

Just watched The Sweeney, not a classic, but I really enjoyed it, may even go in my Top 5. Ray Winstone is excellent. |

I can never limit it to 5 - so 5 best black and white; Sunset Boulevard The Cruel Sea Night to Remember Citizen Kane Brief Encounter 5 best colour Doctor Zhivago Lawrence of Arabia The English Patient Dances with Wolves Onegin And of course, Carry on Up the Khyber. AArgh, just remembered This Happy Breed, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gilda, and about another half a dozen i love for different reasons. |
