The new TV adaptation of Room at the Top is finally getting an airing after being pulled last year (Wednesday and Thursday of this week on BBC4). |

I love the original film. Joe Lambton is one of those iconic roles, I can't imagine anyone but Kenneth Haigh in the part, but it'll be good to see a new take on it. |

Yes, I'm really looking forward to seeing what they've done with it. I remember reading the book many years ago, in fact I think it was probably one of the very first books I read that had characters I recognised as real people. I absolutely loved the original film with Laurence Harvey and Simone Signoret ... |
