Has anyone else been watching this series on Sundays on Channel 4? Absolutely brilliant stuff and so refreshing to see a young chap so enthusiastic and interested in the industrial revolution rather than promoting himself as a 'celebrity'. Makes me think of a young Fred Dibnah ..

I meant to post about this before, absolutely facinating and I love his enthusiasm (and Lincs accent)

I love Guy Martin. I dream of going to the Isle of Man and watching him win the TT. I am just drinking a cup of tea out of a Guy Martin mug.

You are right, his enthusiasm is good to see. He is so funny. On 'The Boat that Guy Built' he asked how much wool does it take to make a sheet. He didn't know that sheets are made of cotton. :*:

I somehow managed to miss this series, only finding out about it last week  Yes, I agree, the ideal person to take the mantle from Fred Dibnah. I enjoyed The Boat That Guy Built, even if it veered very slightly into the occasional slapstick moment (the baked beans....) I hope there'll be the chance to see the latest series again.
