I think men do play that game only slightly differently. From listening to two blokes standing at the bar once it was a case of shag any woman who came in but for some you needed to be more pissed than others.E.g. 'that one would be half a shandy' whereas some other poor girl would be '15 pints and several whiskey chasers'. At least it went something like that.

My ex husband was in the army, and he said that men would rate women on the numbers of bags they would have to wear over their heads before they would shag them, eg 'she's a two bagger'! And our lives are in their hands if the balloon goes up

Last night by the power of the internet I tuned to a one hour Colorama special on RTVE 3

I was like a pig in shit - probably the best radio since the days of Radio Luxembourg / Caroline / North Sea International - and picking up on Beatles tunes in the 60's - maybe I'm just over exciited...

Luxembourg was brilliant - I remember laying in the bath, up to my neck in Three Wishes bubble bath, listening to the charts sponsored by Peter Stuyvesant cigarettes.

You lost reception for a total of about 45 minutes every night but the DJ's were proper DJ's - Emperor Rosko, Mark (Davies, I think) and Kid Jensen were dead cool and the music was great.

I think it's a real shame that there's no 'chart' as such now, no bunking off school on a Tuesday adfternoon to huddle round the trannie (not that sort of trannie! ) to find out who got to No 1 :(
