Just interested to know what particular radio station (if any) floats your boat??

I'm a radio 2 man myself, fookin' love it and have successfully converted a few people away from Radio 1 to its charms!! They've played Hawley on quite a few occasions and I'm looking forward to them playlisting 'The Ocean'!!

Yep, Radio 2 every time. Some of the specialist programmes in the evenings are excellent. Radio 1 is a very poor shadow of what it used to be, and has been for a good few years.

And no crap about not liking Radio 1 because we are old please - Radio 2 plays a rich diversity of music & is more "cutting edge" and certainly more intelligent than Radio 1 could ever hope to be.

The only Radio stations I really listen to are Radio 2, Radio 5 Live and Radio 4.

I ticked Radio 2 on the list when actually I listen to Radio 5 more, so sorry to cock up the poll and all.

Yes, very good, dear - yet another example of your 'intense re-education programme in popular culture'. Aren't you good?!

I still like Radio 1. I am still young and like pop music! But I will admit that Radio 2 is an acceptable altenative, and that is what my radio is tuned into at work, in the car and in the kitchen (but seeing as that's your domain you can listen to what you want in there!). And I would be listening to it now...... if I didn't have Charlotte Church's cd on!

R2 for me also, but also R5 for sports and R Sheffield for local news and views.

Its an age thing.

Whatever happened to the Radio 1 roadshow?
We now are all listening to Terry Wogan.

In a few more years it'll be Gardeners Question time.

I listen to Radio 1 on my way to work between 7-9 (of course I am totally ashamed of this, but find it funny). On the way home 5-7 I listen to Radio 4, and try to beat my record on how near to home I can get before Big Ben tolls for the 6 o'clock news.

My life is thrill a minute I tell you :geek:

I also dowload a lot of radio shows to my Ipod which is cool because I can select certain songs and now have a few hundred session songs to listen to.

Hardly ever listen to the radio anymore. Used to listen to Radio Sheffield a lot for Cappo ( :( ) and Toby, if i listen to anything now it's usually Radio 2. Radio 1 is long, long dead.

Primarily BBC Radio's 6 & 7. For the Freak Zone on 6 and the comedy progs on 7 (Can't take the Little Toe show though. Have to turn off for that). I can die happy so long as 'Round the Horne' gets repeated. Oh and whenever Mark Lamarr is on. He played Robbie Fulks last weekend, what a boy!!!

We listen to XFM in the mornings in our house - although I really like Phil Jupitus' show on 6 - so I plumped for 'Other'.

Fave radio stations for general listening pleasure are 6 and 2.

in Trakka Heights (well, actually Trakka Bottom now i've moved to a basement flat... ) the radio is flicked between 4 & 5live. when i lived in Chuffield it was BBC Radio Sheffield and, were I there again, thats what it would be, especially as Jane Kitson is getting her show back again and her first guest is...Mr Hawley!
