A Taste Of Honey is at the National Theatre, I really fancy seeing that.

Funny I thought I'd responded to this but the post's disappeared!

I went to see A Taste of Honey at the National during the preview week, Lofty, and really enjoyed it. I was a bit worried because I love the film and wasn't sure how I'd take to different people taking on the roles.

Lesley Sharp is excellent as the mother and I'd definitely recommend seeing it if you're in London.

Glad to hear a good report of it. The film is one of my favourites too :)
I doubt I will get down to see it, unless it has a long run & I could plan ahead & book time off work etc.

We saw Arthur Miller's 'The Crucible' at the Old Vic ... it was fantastic!

Outrageously funny in parts but for me, works better as a film. Good night though. ..>

Went to see this last night in Bradford.......what a laugh! :*: :*:

It's very true to the film but just seems funnier on stage, bellyache laughs and really funny seeing
all the women edging to to front of their seats for the last scene, and clapping like demented seals
hoping for another fish!

Really funny......fantastic night! :Hoorah

We've got a Sarah Kane season ongoing in Sheffield right now;

http://www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk/seas ... ane-season

I'm seeing "Crave" and "4:48 Psychosis" - not easy or comfortable by any means, but very very worthwhile stuff - from a massively talented British playwright who departed way too soon.

Bit late but went to see Jersey Boys on Friday night at The Alhambra in Bradford....loved it!

My sister had the Four Seasons greatest hits on cassette and played it all the time when
I was growing up, so I knew all the words to just about every song.

Didn't know the whole back story but it worked very well on stage.

I'd go see it again! ..>

To be fair it was very good in parts but a bit pantomime and the height of cheese in others!

What a hoot! Really good storyline and very, very funny. :*: :*:

Made a day of it.....free 1st Class Rail Tickets (long story), look round a few shops, few beers
on Charing Cross Road, lunch in Chinatown, theatre, followed by a few more sherbets in here
http://inception-group.com/venues/bars/cahoots/ :P

Hangmen is around for another week, I can highly recommend it. ..>
