We can only wait to see what the future holds...well that and take steps to shape it.

I think the problem is that there are a lot of disillusioned people out there who don't feel they are being listened to and feel misplaced mistrust when they hear a foreign language in their community and see Polish supermarkets where their hairdressers used to be. They parroted two things - 'we shouldn't let Brussels tell us what to do' and 'all these immigrants are taking our jobs (and taking over our communities)'. These are the same people who dream of retiring to Spain and can't see the irony. Hard up and fed up they listened to Boris ('he's so funny') and Nigel ('he talks a lot of sense - he wants to see Britain great again') and they voted. And now many of them are scared and worried about whether or not they did the right thing. The Brexit crew are withdrawing their empty promises. Our two main political parties are in crisis. The anti- Corbynites are using the situation to their advantage. It's a mess. And I think I might move to Scotland.

It's a right Royal mess especially the rise in racist attacks and abuse, the empty promises are being withdrawn hour by hour as far as I can see.....ever feel like you've been conned? The Brexit voters have been truly duped, Johnson used it as his way to power and half the country fell for it hook line and sinker.....so sad....instead of moving forward and trying to adjust the things that were wrong we've closed the door....I'm desperately sad and feel very much like this is the wrong thing we should be doing

I am puzzled by the Labour MPs who somehow think that Corbyn holding hands with Cameron would have made the difference. They totally ignore what has happened in Scotland to Labour because the party has taken the indigenous working class bote for granted. It's a tough line to walk for Corbyn but he stands much more chance of connecting with a neglected part of our population than those trapped in the Blairite worldview which did very little after its first year to tackle the problems of a deindustrialised world. The ad leap from concern about immigration to aggressive racism whipped up by irresponsible politicians is an abomination which Farage et al must be accountable for.

Totally agree all. This was the Labour before Corbyn... and I for one want no part of that.

The whole issue of disillusioned working class voters is one that only a left-leaning leadership can tackle. The industrial heartlands in this country were destroyed by Thatcher, ignored, patronised and under-funded by new Labour, and left ripe for easy answers to complicated questions by bigots like Farage and the right of the Tories.

New Labour took "Labour heartlands" for granted – look at Scotland. I doubt if Labour will hold a majority there again in my lifetime.

It's a scary time but good people have to get stuck in and try with all our might to cut across the racism and argue for a better world for all communities.

I'm off to Parliament Square tonight to protest at the right-wing coup going on in Labour and to wave goodbye to the careerist no-marks who can't get used to my party not being a second eleven for the Tories. And I do love you lot. Always got something great to say and takes on things I hadn't thought of. You're all great. xxx
