That Dirk Bogarde - nasty piece of work if you ask me...

Ooh Poppy Dog - The Blue Lamp! I am a dyed in the wool Dirk Bogarde fan, so I got what you were talking about. Watched him in The Servant recently with my loved one .... just great. They just don't make them like him any more.

I watched it. It was OK, not sure about making Gene Hunt so central to it all. And with the woman being so knowing about why she's there, it's taken away any mystery.

As for the recurring clown... Well, if you've seen the Bowie episode of Flight Of The Conchords, you'll find it hard not to piss yourself laughing every time it appears.

I'll give it a few more episodes and see how it goes.

That did kind of ruin the effect a bit :*:

Twice I've tried to watch it now and twice fallen asleep at the same point (when the time-travelling 'Bolly Knickers' DI is having the heebeegeebees on the bed after a boozy sesh with Gene Hunt).

Doesn't bode well...

I've no clue what any of you guys are talking about.... what are these shows and are they available in the US? :eh? (on a side note, was appalled to discover that they are doing a new Knight Rider series here....)

Don`t buy that dog tho, Richard, it appears to only have 2 legs.

Any sign of the Rockford Files making a comeback..? This is Jim Rockford. At the tone, leave a message and I'll get back to you...

I've not watched Life On Mars yet. Apparently it was all a dream while the main guy was in a coma or something. Before I do watch it can someone reassure me that it's not quite as simple as this?! Because if I sat through it enjoying it & that was how it turned out I'd be *furious*..!

I think you'll be furious. Some funny lines though.

I've got the DVD collection of Adam Adamant and watched it episode after episode. Brilliantly naff!

Currently quite enjoying Ashes to Ashes - although, for me, it's simply a vehicle for Philip Glenister's brilliant characterisation of Gene Hunt. Don't see how they can make a third series though - that really would be stretching the elastic band of credibility too far!

Any good? I've got the old BBC video which has a few episodes on it - cos at the time they said they were the only ones remaining in existence - cost me a fortune on ebay!! Haven't invested in the DVD set yet............

Well, that's it for series one............... I've warmed up to it a bit now...................... and I wasn't expecting the revelation.................

And I think that Gene Hunt is lovelier than ever.................. don't know what's the matter with me today but I welled up when he took charge of young Alex after the bomb went off.................. :?
