I watched it last night...you know what they have at Walmart now....dvd vending machines
You slide your credit card, select a film and out it drops like a can of bloody pop...and only costs a dollar!
Anyway back to the film, oh how mature and sensible everyone was...if only reality could be even slightly like that, in some ways I think it would be a great film for every teenager (and parent) to watch, you see, teeage pregnancy is absolutely not the end of the world, "I was hoping she was a crack addict, or had been expelled from school"
, but in other ways I found it portrayed teenage pregnancy as an easy and emotionally painless experience, and the prospect of giving a baby up for adoption simplistic and the obvious choice. I have to speak personally and I can't imagine it being such an easy choice....the main character was 16?! She had the maturity level of a 45 year old, not saying I didn't absolutely love it (Jason Bateman was great) I just found it all a bit beyond belief, the only person who seemed to have any emotional attachment to the baby was Jennifer Garner. It really does sound like I didn't love it eh? But I really did.
The music was great too...off to discover The Moldy Peaches.
