WHY do the mosaics have to have been removed?
Another piece of British cultural landscape gone, in my opinion.
Nothing non-generic will be left soon.

Looks like the building is being sold but the owner is retaining the artworks for herself.

That may be a good thing but could be bad. The intention may be to keep them, or to sell them. If for sale let's hope a British art institution has sufficient funds to keep them in this country.

elaine, and graham who helps her run it are diamond people. bruntwood have been after the place for years and they've finally got it. i'm sure things have been difficult for elaine, i know she's been committed to the place surviving, but it'll never be the same.
