Get on his album (if you haven't already) Queen Of Denmark and categorize that fucker. I dare you. Stupendous.

I'm also seeing him in June, supporting Midlake at the Leadmill. If you can get hold of the 2 disc version of the album do so as its got 4 great extra tracks on it

Check out his former group the Czars as well. The album Sorry I Made You Cry is good (made up of b-sides). They do a cracking version of Song for the Siren which was on the Tim Buckley Tribute Album (along with a lovely version of Blue Melody by Cousteau).

If you like him, then try Bella Union stable mate Lone Wolf. Album Devil and I sounds pretty similar if a little less produced.

The album is one of my favourites of the year so far.
Anyone going to Latitude, he is playing the main stage on Saturday <*>

Saw him last night at the Union Chapel and have to say he was very very bloody good. As was Lone Wolf (Richard should get him/them as support - bit of Yarkshire solidarity and all that) and Mountain Man and Allessi's Ark. One of the best £12.50s I've ever spent.

We'd have been there but already had Avett Brothers tickets (they were excellent).

I gather John loved the gig but he made some comment about the decibels?

Absolutely stunning performance tonight at The Leadmill. I didn't think he could beat the record, but his vocals live are exceptional. Midlake were rather good as well :D

I'm not :( Because I think I want to do Truck instead :)
I believe John Grant is also supporting Midlake at the moment, I hope it stays that way for their November gigs.

The Avett Brothers are superb, they are one of the 30 bands I seemed to have missed at Glastonbury last weekend!! But we got Thom Yorke, so no complaining from me!!
