Hello Folks,

I have recently returned from a road trip around Central Greece. Apart from the historical site of Delphi, most of the other places we visited were well off the tourist trail. It was great to discover the real Greece and some of its very friendly people. Here are a few pictures that I thought you might like;

The treasury of the Athenians, Delphi

Houses in the village of Mytikas

I took hundreds of images, and a few more can be found on my website http://www.visionage.co.uk/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&Itemid=70&gid=19&limit=12

Cheers, Steve.

Fascinating account of your journey Steve - I can fully appreciate your excitement at visiting all those sites, especially Delphi - seeing stuff like that gives me the wander-bug....

I have always loved Greece too. I first went there back in 1983, when I was 22, and have been returning regularly ever since. I love the people, history, landscape and climate. Nowhere else in the world does it for me like Greece does.

Cheers, Steve.

I have not been to Greece, your pictures remiond me of Italy which is not so far away. I probably have some Greek blood mixed with my Italian from way back.

I will have to visit there some time.

Good luck learning Greek Luke.

I really ought to do the same. I got by on about six words, which is far from ideal in some of the areas I visited. Trying to buy a phone card from a kiosk was frustrating at best!

Cheers, Steve.
