Yep, 50 in September!

Lady Egg has booked us a 2 week holiday so I'm away for the big day.
She won't tell me where we are going, just have my suitcase ready on
the Friday I finish work!

The only clue I have been given is....."FRENCH"

Connection?

A two centre holiday Marseilles and New York - result!

ooooooooo, I like what you're doing there PD! :D

2 further clues for September:

It's East and it's more than 10 hours away......I'm assuming it's a flight
and not walking!! :?

Any ideas?

Next week! :Hoorah <*> :nemo: <*> :Hoorah

Still don't know where I'm going........have to be packed (smart / casual and shorts required! :D ) by Saturday night to leave on Sunday morning!

Had my 3 Hep B jabs and my Yellow Fever jab! (even the nurse was in on the surprise and under instructions - "don't mention the destination and turn your PC screen off when he comes in!" Her comment to me was "lot of fuss for a week in Brid!! )

Can't wait now, the suspense is killing me, but you'd put your money on somewhere hot! :Hoorah

I walked the Rob Roy Way last week - Drymen to Pitlochry - 81 miles with about 7500 feet of ascent...and I didn't get any blisters, which for me, is an utter miracle. Weather was OK - we had some rain, but nothing too heavy that we were caught out in. Stopped one night in Kenmore, at the head of Loch Tay - absolutely gorgeous place.

Just come back from two weeks in France, sand in my shoes and as brown as a berry (freckles have merged to create illusion of a tan). Boy number one starts secondary school tomorrow but we're chilled. Am now officially working on a plan to do fuck all for the foreseeable future...

Great photos efsb, particularly the first one, where was it taken?

I love Scotland, we haven't visited since 2008 due to the price of fuel, before that we went to the Isle of Mull for 3 years in a row. I miss the Highlands, we went to Boat of Garten for quite a few years and I think Fort William and the Road to the Isles is breathtaking. I hope to visit again next year.

We have had a few days away here and there following the British Super Bikes, so a trip to Knock Hill is my plan and go on from there. I'm off to Donnington Park for the bike racing this weekend, hope the weather is good.

That was taken in Kenmore, at the eastern end of Loch Tay. Lovely place....

I forgot to say how much I love Perthshire too, not sure if we have been to Kenmore, may have passed through when we stayed near Blairgowrie. I will have to visit Scotland next year, there are so many lovely places maybe a touring holiday would be best. Another great place we stayed was Torridon, and the Isle of Skye.

Me and the kids decided last night that we are going to embark on an experiment. How late into the year can you sleep in a camper van before it becomes just too cold? Test one, next weekend, Milford on Sea.

OK so, need some advice. My kids have been invited to Ireland for the half term hols by the family of one of my eldest's friends. Both very excited but I am worried about my wee one because he's never been on a plane before and he's only 7. Should I take them over and fly back so that I can look after him? Or should I just let them go with the friend and his family and not give a shit that my wee one is a first timer on a plane? They don't want me to come to stay but don't mind if I take them and bring them back. Am I being crap and paranoid?

Got lots of interesting things to do. New fork springs for the bike. Practice the guitar whilst actually awake. Play with my sophisticated new camera ......
