Just enjoyed a three night break in Sandsend near Whitby. Long walks, good food, the odd drink or three and lots of Goths to look at. Loved it. Also had a long walk in the woods in Sandsend and came across the ruins of an old castle. Well worth a visit.

whenever we stay in Whitby we walk the three miles to Sandsend and back on the beach - beautiful place and nice tea rooms too. :D

So am I! Well, next weekend for my birthday. I am really hoping for good weather too. I want too sit in the evening with a glass of red wine listening to the sea after a long walk in the lovely sunshine. I may be drinking a glass of red wine listening to the rain and wind after a long walk getting drenched. Either way, I will enjoy it. <*>

Why wait until the evening? When you're on holiday the drinking should start at lunchtime! :D

:*: Station Hotel in whitby is my current favourite; many a wet wednesday has been spent sat by the roaring fire in the lounge with a pint and a feeling of utter satisfaction in having to genuinely do bugger all.

Off to Sandsend tomorrow for the weekend for my birthday to do bugger all. Will try the Station Hotel for a drink at some point. I'm really looking forward to the break. Come on sun, do your bit, shine just for a little while at least, you know you can do it....... <*> <*> <*>
