Mentioned a few times, like to go different places for holidays and always looking
at maps and travel magazines for the next one.

Found this app called Been

It's simple and very easy to use, just select where you've been!

Not a lot of detail, mainly by country, apart from the USA which also includes states.

My travels so far (including business trips but not airports just visited for transfers)

Yes, yes, but it doesn't mention Canvey anywhere. Tired of Canvey, tired of life... If you've never been to Canvey, you haven't lived... Today the world, tomorrow Canvey... etc, etc. x

Don't get me wrong, there are some truly stunning places in the UK and it doesn't necessarily have to
be warm and sunny (crisp autumn morning etc.), but cold, pissing down and windy...... :(

So....go on, sell Canvey to me........where is it!!

Canvey Island, five miles by three, eastern edge of Essex, famous for oil refineries and dogshit. Home of Dr Feelgood and Wilko Johnson. Barren, desperate, working class, poor, dilapidated. What’s not to like?

According to Wikipedia:

"Canvey Island was an influential destination in the 1970s for artists of the Pub rock genre of music[71] such as Graham Parker, Elvis Costello,[72] Eddie and the Hot Rods, Nick Lowe,[73] and The Kursaal Flyers, while also being home to "Canvey Island's finest" band Dr. Feelgood.[74] Although Canvey Island may now be considered unpleasant by its younger generation of internationally known musicians such as Joshua Third (guitarist of The Horrors),[75] the island continues to be a source of inspiration for artists such as British Sea Power who included a song entitled "Canvey Island" on their 2008 album Do You Like Rock Music?"

It’s official, world travel is over-rated. Having largely been nowhere and done nothing on the international traveller front, I believe ennui has enhanced my life, broadened my mind, made me the woman I am. Over-stimulation only leads to hormone imbalance and glandular problems in the long term. Canvey is calling, Egg, just give in. x
