Richard Hawley

Known as the founder of Big Black, Rapeman and Shellac, producer of Nirvana - and country maverick Robbie Fulks, who was a good friend of Steve's. I saw him once, when he played in Chester with Rapeman - on the bill were Dinosaur Jr and the Band of Susans. The gig finished at around 3am and I drove home in fog - on a school night.
