I didn't actually go very mad with the photographs, had to keep a check on it or I could have easily just wandered off for hours at a time. I think I would now be single if so. Next time though. What an incredible place...

These 2 from Brooklyn Bridge.

amazing pics, I am now browsing through various sites to find me some cheap fares to get me there, its been 12 years since I have been, way to long. I still remember the last trip vividly though and how sad yet pleased I was when I left JFK and the amazing view of jamaica bay as we took off for home, next year, defo.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

http://www.travelocity.co.uk is where we got ours from. £240 we paid but you have to keep checking or get on the mailing list for the flights you want. The cheap ones go rare quick.

Glad you all like the pics, cheers. And the avatar's staying :*:

Those are really impressive snapper. I particularly liked the first view from Brooklyn Bridge - it's the silhouette of the sentile cranes on the horizon that captivate me ..

... just deleted paragraph of me going into hyperbole overdrive :*:

Snapper...too wonderful! I see a lot of NYC photos, and those made me swoon.

You're all making me appreciate everything around here so much, and here I was supposed to be all Sheffield-phile, right?

Stopped on the way home from Turkey Day to see the city from the Palisades Cliffs...
