Me, but ain't never been before, so don't know if there's a bar or what. There's several pubs within a stonesthrow though. Looking forward to it!

.... but if we take the tip from another thread and go in smelling of sick then we won't have any problem getting a drink! Should be a fabulous gig - the last of the tour (in UK anyway), and Mr H in the running for a Brit the next day. Then again, he might be moving house ........ 8)

so who is going to the Buxton Gig, is there a bar inside the venue?

I will be there with my other half. I don't know if I will be visiting the bar, I'm dizzy enough without alcohol. :D

I'll be at Buxton - the bar is tiny and tucked away, but there is a pub across the road, quite literally, which normally gets packed before-hand. Once came across Jim Moray in there before he supported Richard Thompson.

They normally sell ice-cream at Buxton from the old cinema type trays, which is a nice old-fashioned touch. Great venue - really posh in a good way and charming.

I have just rung Buxton Opera House box office to inquire about tickets and have been told that the only available ones are in the upper circle, side seats, with restricted view. Can anyone tell me how"restricted" is "restricted" please? [/quote]

I haven't been, but it must be worth it for the sound alone. :D

Have a look at the 360 panorama here http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/content/pano ... _360.shtml

Thanks Susie ---Have booked tickets!!!! :D :D :D Box Office had 2 returns in the dress circle so grabbed them :) Would've had the others anyway, as you say, worth it for the sound alone - but now we will have unstricted view as well!! Saw Richard for the first time on Monday and now going to see him again :D :D This is going to be a habit I just know it - I am now officially happier than the happiest bunny ever :D :D :D :D

Good for you. :D I know that feeling, I have been so patient waiting for Buxton,. We went to three shows in less than a month on the last tour. It is a very easy habit to acquire.

I might see you next Tuesday then. :)

if you get to buxton earlier in the day try the cafe upstairs in the opera house/pavilion complex - recommended.
