we were in Whitby early August lovely place,i prefer other places near there though, not as mental

Whitby is a good base to work from. Good pubs and restaurants close to hand and good transport systems. We usually catch a bus out to say Staithes and walk back to Whitby along the Cleveland Way. Robin Hood's Bay is also an easy place to get to either walking or by car/bus. :D

When i was a kid we'd head off to the Yorkshire East coast every summer. Whitby, Filey, Scarborough, Primrose valley, anywhere where there was a cheap caravan site. There was another place.. Reigton Gap, but whenever i mention this to anyone no one has ever heard of it. Does it still exist i wonder?

I had a day out in Scarborough last Friday and saw the inside of Wetherspoons for about eight hours off and on - another four hours was spent in the Spa watching Ian Hunter [that don't sound right] :eh? .
