I reckon it'll go to Duffy purely because thats the song that got to the top of the charts and people have heard it! I don't mind the song but I do think her voice is a bit "thin" though..........

I do think Richard's record is better - its more of an "experience" - like the wall of sound it just hits you and stays with you............

Anyhow either way its good publicity..............

I get the same 'wall of sound' thing when I listen to it too....................and it always makes me feel good somehow....................great to see it nominated.................my vote has been ticked!!!!!.................

Absolutely JapaneseRiceWine - very clear message on the song.

It seems so long ago when that single came out. Great song and it'd be good for it to get another go so to speak and maybe give the lp a little push. More people need to hear emotional music like this because once they get it they'll be hooked.

Will give it a vote when I have time to register and hope it "wins". Whatever it's good to get recognition and the chance to reach more people.

I like Mercy which is in a "classic single" mode but then the rest of her stuff seems to lack the impact that record makes.

I genuinely think that 'Streets' is the better song - meaningful, anthemic, contemporary - don't want to be accused of Duffyslagging but I just don't like her voice. She looks great 'tho.
