I suppose it is a compliment that someone is willing to pay so much for the vinyl (they would not pay that much unless they really wanted it), and I doubt the seller has any qualms of conscience about making money out of it.

David McAlmont has just mentioned that Simon Price at the Independent on Sunday has McAlmont & Nyman: The Glare in his Top 3 albums of the year, alongside The Manic Street Preachers and Richard Hawley.

Good company to be in.

Almost two years since the album came out, I listen it again and again and I'm never bored. Again, many thanks boss.

Thanks for the prompt - had a neat few minutes flickin' through some of the posts - brought back memories of a drive back from a Mott the Hoople reunion warm up gig in Monmouth late September 2009 when we played Trueloves Gutter on repeat on the way home - that was almost four hours - I'm a slow driver...

My Dad gave me a lift to pick up my car today, he had Trueloves gutter playing, says it's one of his current faves, along with Road Trip> My Dad has introduced me to some amazing music over the years and tells me I am now returning the favour by introducing him to the work of Mr H :)

Someone on e-bay is attempting to sell the vinyl Truelove's Gutter for £1,000.00.

They must have seen this thread!

By the way, did 'For Your Lover Give Some Time' ever come out on vinyl? I'd love to own that with 'Sorry I lost My Way'.

After playing "For Your Lover Give Some Time" on 6music today,Stuart Maconie wondered why Trueloves isn't considered more of a modern classic than it is.
All he could offer as a reason is that RH is too nice a chap!!!
