Just listening to Valentine and it just struck me how amazing it would have been if Roy Orbison had had the opportunity to record it.

Imagine his voice reaching up for the 'Now you're not here anymore' section, would have been breathtaking and have suited him just right.

Well done indeed Mr. H, it's a beautiful, timeless song.

Anyone else got any thoughts on suitable cover versions for Hawley numbers?

I've done a reggae version of "Dem Nights Are Cold" myself, but not recorded it - yet.
Could imagine the pipes of Winston Rodney or Toots Hibberts on that.
