Probably 'Open Up Your Door' for me.Absolutely loved it at the first hearing. It kind of reminded me of 'The Ocean' which is one of my all time favourite Hawley tracks.

But then again I love the whole album. Each and every track is a real gem.

My Mum, who doesn't normally express a preference, voted heartily for Ashes On The Fire :D

I went with "As the dawn breaks" - loads of Richard's songs take me back to childhood - this one has me looking out of the back bedroom window over to the ICI works in Weston Point - net curtains condensation and no central heating - sun reflecting on the slates of the houses that formed Mersey View - the buzzer blowing calling folks to work - me Mum calling me down stairs for breakfast.

That's just reminded me of, not dawn, but sunset, over the view from the back bedroom window of a friend's house as a child. It was the summer of '76. Looking out over the Dunlop factory in Leicester & wishing I had the same view from my house. 8)

For me it is the remarkable rhythm of Remorse Code. I nver get tired
of hearing this track.

I voted for open up your door but soldier on and don't you cry are now the top ones for me. the album is so consistently good from start to finish. regardless of the song writing, sonically it's magnicent, is it richard's dark side of the moon?.

really enjoying the album I have to say, bit of a slow burner but loving it. Remorse Code still for me as the best track. One of THE best things Richard has done in my opinion but I guess you can put the album in the same context, can't wait for Thursday.

The album has been played in its entirety on the tour which surely proves that there is not one 'filler' song in there.
It may have taken a few listenings, but from having an instant favourite in Remorse Code, I now find that there's not a fag papers breadth between favourite and least favourite on the album. I can't think of any other record this year that comes anywhere close.

All the songs are good, of course, but my absolute favourite has to be Open Up Your Door. It's so beautiful and hearing it performed live at the weekend by Richard and the lads was definitely a spine-tingling moment :D
