Its a toss up between Soldier on and Dont you Cry.

Soldier on was fantastic live, but Dont you Cry hits an emotional spot with me having slpit with my wife this year after 25 years together.

Does any body else think the intro riff to Remorse code sounds a bit like The nights are cold? or is it me.

When I first got the album it was 'For Your Lover' but after the London show it turned into a tie between 'As The Dawn Breaks' & 'Soldier On' but I do love 'Open Up Your Door' too!!!!! :*:

I'm still adamant that there's not a weak moment on the whole damned thing, but as far as a favourite track it's still a tug of love between 'Ashes...' and 'Soldier On'.

And I think it says something that every time I play the album, it plays all the way through without me skipping or repeating a track. That's the mark of a well-woven spell.

Still no votes for Ashes On The Fire I see :? This song always takes me straight back to Castleton last year. :thumleft:

I love Ashes on the fire... especially the music...

My favourites are Soldier on, As the dawn breaks, Ashes on the fire, Open up your door, Don't you cry, Remorse Code, For your lover give some time, Don't get hung up in your soul.

I love everything about this album. It is awesome.

Like I said, it's a toss-up between that one and 'Soldier On', but I gave it a vote because I felt bad that nobody else gave it one.

Don't You Cry...wow, what a song, I have many faves on this album really, but the anticipation I have to get to this finale, keeps me anchored to the entire listen til this song washes over me...a long slow money shot of emotion.

I absolutely love the whole album. Not one track I could miss out. I like them all for different reasons. If pushed I guess I would have to choose Soldier On because when the crescendo is reached my heart does a little jump but then Ashes on the Fire and Open up your Door both make me cry. Just an brilliant album.

It changes all the time but at the moment remorse code-stops me in my tracks- closely followed by ashes on the fire, have said why I like the letter writing song in another thread so I won't bore you again.
My daughter loves Open up your door, plays it on her ipod all the time, we can't hear the music but can hear her singing along! :D

Of course ALL the album is excellent !!! For me, it was a surprise that in 2009 has released a such a beautiful rock [????] album, where ALL the songs are fine !!! Every time I put "Trueloves Gutter" in my cd - player, I feel like to ... opening a bottle with a fine old wine !!!

So, it was difficult to vote "Trueloves' ..." favourite song. But I voted "Soldier On" because of .... the "little mirackle" that happens in the middle of this track : The sound of the song is low, Richard is singin' low but in the middle of the track .... the sound becomes higher and higher and higher !!! And when mr Hawley sings "As the stars they slowly die", the track, and our souls of course, have already driven to a crescendo !!! Very genious and very 'emotional" :!: :!: :!:

Remorse Code for me. I have only known one other song to last so long without any major changes to it, yet it doesn't become boring.

(other song is Bob Dylan's - Spirit On The Water)
