No surprise that the next single is Open Up Your Door.

Richard Hawley will be releasing the second track from his critically acclaimed album 'Truelove's Gutter' on 30 November 2009.

'Open Up Your Door' will be the second single from Truelove's Gutter' following 'For Your Lover Give Some Time' in August 2009.

I was listening to 'Open Up Your Door' several times today while tootling around in the car. Despite Mr H's protestations about none of the tracks being suitable as singles (if I've quoted fairly from months ago), I think it will make a great single. Mind you, what do I know?

The only problem is......when I'm singing it in the car, the kids pretend to open the car doors which ain't so funny on motorways. Oh, how we larf....hahahahaha!!!!

Ooh lovely! :D

I hope they don't chop it about to fit the 3 minute radio play though - the cut on For Your Lover still feels too savage to me!

Different release date in this article:

Richard Hawley will release the single “Open Up Your Door” on December 1, 2009.

The digital-only single features the song’s album version, a new live recording of “Don’t Get Hung Up In Your Soul” (BBC Radio 2 session, recorded August 2009) and the exclusive B-side “Run For Me” (6Music session, recorded September 2009).

This is the second single to be taken from his critically acclaimed sixth studio album “Truelove’s Gutter,” out now.

In the US, the album version of Hawley’s “Don’t Get Hung Up In Your Soul” will be featured as Starbuck’s “Pick Of The Week” November 17th!

 Sorry, I just prefer all your songs to be their original length - or longer! :*:

Shone like a towering fiery beacon against the insipid drivel peddled out in 6Music's round table review show last Thurs.
Talking of length...Gideon Coe suggested "that really long one (he means Remorse Code, I've pulled him up on it before) off his new album should be trimmed down to 3 mins"

Wossy played the three minute version of Open Up Your Door on his Radio 2 show this morning. Despite being so wrong to do that to a song, it was still by far the best thing he played.

Was gently awoken by that this morning, on the clock radio. Couldn't work out where I was for a minute. Thought I'd fallen asleep in the chair with the CD on repeat again  :D
