I'd hate to see your review of the albums that didn't make the top 24 after reading the morrissey review!!

I like Years Of Refusal, was pretty impressed when I heard it. There are a couple of filler and would have been much better as 10 tracks I think.

What other tracks do you like other than the singles?

LP :Oink:

At last I've found it!

I used to watch this loads and it disappeared off You Tube for a few years...and now it's back.

This version just blows my face off. it is absolutely out of this world.

Longpig, I decided on balance not to post my blog on any Morrissey fan forums! I did enjoy Years of Refusal, I just have very high standards for my musical heroes and I thought a lot of the album was Moz-by-numbers and didn't stand up against the last two efforts. My favourite songs on it are the singles, Paris and Skull, the two that have been released before, All You Need is Me and That's How People Grow Up and a couple of others: When I Last Spoke to Carol and I'm OK by Myself.

Haha! Don't blame you!

There are always a couple of Moz-by-numbers on there. I enjoyed this one more than You are the quarry.

BUT I think it helped that I didn't get the best of with the couple of songs on and didn't listen to the live songs he played on the tour the year before the album came out. I think that you kind of ignore them when listening to the album when it comes out because you know them.

For the record I am not a HUGE fan of ....Paris. That to me is moz by numbers, but I still enjoy it. Just not a favourite!

I personally love:

Skull
Mama Lay Softly On The Riverbed
All You Need Is Me
When I Last Spoke To Carol
It's Not Your Birthday Anymore
You Were Good In Your Time

But I think the others are pretty decent apart from Black Cloud and Sorry Doesn't help.

LP :Oink:

I've braved writing another blog, this time about how much I love 6 Music. Mr Hawley gets a mention of course. One of the responses I got was from Andrew Collins; it was nice to know he'd read it. Hope people like it anyway:

The first time i heard Mr. Hawley was on radio 6 . It was 'Serious' which was 2 and a half years ago. That song and singer has soooo changed my life for the better!
