Today's Four For on Robert Elms on BBC London was Richard Hawley. The final choices were:

    As The Dawn Breaks
    Coles Corner
    The Ocean
    Soldier On

Which four tracks would you choose?

Listen again on the iPlayer from tomorrow for a week to hear Robert Elms and listeners gushing about Mr H!

Ooh I'll have a listen to that tonight :D

I'm not sure I could do just four, it depends what mood I'm in, but I think at the moment -

Lady Solitude (Devils Arse version)
Soldier On (Live version)
Darlin (Live acoustic version)
Hotel Room (any version!)

:D

really difficult this, as it depends on what kinda mood you are in at any given moment. In no particular order (except it's always at the top)

The Ocean :*:

Something is
Coles Corner
Open up your Door

close 5th Hushabye Mountain

btw can anyone help with the i-player link ? just been huntin around the Four site and can't find it. Cheers

Hello Jamesy, I think you might be getting confused with the "Four" thing. The show is on radio London so go to 'radio' on the iplayer site, then 'nations and local' then scroll down to Robert Elms :)

T'other way round a ForFour is a Smart car! I had a Smart car when my Ka was in for repair once... I slagged it off before I got it then fell in love with it!
I digress....

My top four songs are...

Born under a bad sign
Open up your door
Serious (I love the line "a kiss that caught the wind made you delirious)
Hotel Room

....closely followed by all the others! :*:

Robert Elms plays at least one Hawley track a week. Played Serious yesterday but does say some fine things afterwards...

I think she's refering to the religious order.
