In a kind of Lowedges mood today, and this led me to Run For Me, the live version from the first Devils Arse gig. It never fails to take my breath away, the vocals and guitar are just perfect. Ooh, I can't wait til the new album is out!!!

If we were choosing favourites that would be mine...

Although 'As the dawn breaks' reminds me of a great childhood spent running wild around Runcorn Docks...

'Valentine' a great Valentines night in Galway a few years back...

My first Richard Hawley gig is now just over 4 years ago - tickets bought on a whim for something to do - best twenty quid [or so] spent I reckon - thanks for the twang - the mirror ball - the sparkly curtains - the band.

You don't get much for twenty or so quid these days, as I found out the other day when my son asked me (a non smoker) to get him a couple of packets of fags! But a ticket to a Hawley gig is worth every penny in my book! Great music and usually the opportunity to travel to a city/cave/farmers field not visited before!

It's difficult to choose a favourite album, but I think Lowedges, if I did have to pick just one. Oh My Love is stunning live ..>

I don't actually own Lowedges or Late Night Final but I've listened to them loads on Spotify. Waiting for the vinyl! :dj:

Maybe I should buy a record player for chrimbo rather than the danelectro bull horn bass I'm always promising myself - it's easier to play a record player...

Same here. It's remained my favourite and I never tire of it, and also think Oh My Love live is still one of the best Hawley gig experiences ... And there have been many!
