Hello there, everybody :D

I was listening to Aled Jones' 'Good Morning Sunday' show on Radio 2 this morning (15/4/12) and happened to hear what I think might've been an instrumental version of Mr Hawley's 'Open Up Your Door'.

Now, it's not that I don't want to hear Richard's dulcet tones, but having the opportunity to hear the richness and beauty of this song's musical arrangement in isolation would be a joy.

So firstly, does anyone know whether an instrumental of this track is available (and any others, for that matter), and secondly, where can I get a copy?

My hi-fi and ears wait with baited-breath for any information that might be available...

With kind regards,

Michael Davenport

I remember seeing an e-bay auction for an instrumentals album from Truelove's Gutter - there was also one for Lady's Bridge.

They don't go on general sale, presumably just issued to such as the BBC to use on their programmes.

Tried to buy that instrumental version of Ladys Bridge off ebay & got an email from the seller saying he had 'found' another copy after the auction had ended. Looking at his feedback it wasnt very complimentary so said no ta. If anybody hears of one let me know as i wish i'd got it now. :-?

Hello Michael

Having just read your post re: "Open Up Your Door Instrumental" I listened to it on BBC2 I Player.

This was of great interest to me because, having purchased the sheet music for this piece, and doing my own arrangement for the electronic organ, (I am not a professional - I just play for pleasure) I was surprised how similar my version was - using guitar to begin with and then lots of lovely strings!!!!

As mentioned in my very first post on Richard's Forum, I cannot recreate his lovely voice.

Regards
Jean
