Perhaps we need a Poll, but for the time being what is your fav track and why?

For moi, I must admit it has to be 'The Wood Collier's Grave' as it sounds as it belongs on Truelove's Gutter.

She brings the Sunlight.

There you go - I said it.

This is the tune [along with several others] that could have a crowd of 100,000+ giving it the bleedin' Rodney - guitar raga chuck up yer guts - double solo fuck off feed back - with thai curry sauce backing vocal - it ends 3 hours too soon.

Mind you Seek It...

And Down int Woods...

I will say 'Before' for now, it may be that it sticks in my mind as it is the final track so I might decide another track is my favourite. I like them all really.

Probably Before for me too, closely followed by Time Will Bring You Winter & The Wood Collier's Grave, probably for the common sentiment of things lost.

In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

According to itunes my favourites are Don't Stare At The Sun and Time Will Bring You Winter and I would agree with that but I love all the songs on there

Title track for me. Mean, moody, evocative......it's got everything and loads going on, especially
when you listen through headphones. ..>

Can't wait to hear it live! :Hoorah

Earlier this week I would have said 'Before', but I'm no longer sure. Let's say that the side I play more often is side 4 (although most of the times I listen to the whole album in my mp3 player with the repeat mode on... Having the record player on my desk at the lab would be a bit weird).

Don't stare at the sun, but there are so many. It depends on mood.

Tried in earnest to pick a favourite at the weekend, but couldn’t. I agree it depends on mood. I love the way She Brings the Sunlight builds and builds like the warmth of the rising sun. Time will Bring You Winter is more haunting and perhaps sticks around in my head more than the others. I find myself dancing round most to Leave your Body and Down in the Woods (either a kitchen disco at home or a desk disco at work through headphones). But Seek It just floors me and made me cry first time I heard it. The second verse just got in under my ribs and poked at my homesickness, which I’ve been trying to ignore for months. It made me think of our lovely home in the Cambrian mountains which we had to leave to come to Australia. It was just a single word that did it – ‘unoccupied’. Anyway – yes – certainly too hard to choose just one.

'Seek It' is my favourite. Love 'Standing at the Skys Edge' too.
