Now I know we are all talking about the new album which I am loving but I also got Live at the Devil's Arse album for my birthday and I just wanted to say how beautiful the version of Run For Me is. Nuff said.

It was great live, although we were almost frozen by that time. :shaking:

I bought this CD some months ago, but having other new (to me) Hawley stuff, I've kept it unopened until today, four years to the day. What a great concert. I haven't got a favourite song from it yet; all I can tell so far is that Lyn and Jeannie have been an agreeable surprise.

I'll have to dig it out - haven't played it for a while - only recall Ashes / Richards Mum and Aunty and the Elvis tune from memory....

Oh - Silent Night - it's coming back to me now...

And Devil in Disguise - plus being a memorable evening going on into the small hours with lots of forum members getting together. Run for Me was awesome that night.

Wasn't it?

I just don't remember Run For Me - I remember meeting DAWoodcock and Former Pink Lady at the digs although I don't think we 'officially' introduced ourselves - it was the first outing for our then new physco Labrador Sandy who sadly had to be put to sleep a couple of months ago - I'm cracking open a few cans and putting it on CD player ..>

I remember it was bleedin' cold.

And now a few more cans and Diamond Mines - King Creosote + Lightinin' Jon Hopkins.

It does you no good lookin' back - but bollocks - just going off thread Tarquin :cyclopsani: :eye:

That was a wonderful night. I remember there had been snow all that week & we were all fretting about not being able to get there. A last minute partial thaw saved it. It was cold but I wouldn't have missed it for the world ..>

That was great. Run for Me and Lady Solitude were beautiful. I enjoyed all the stuff afterwards as much as the gig. I remember getting a hug from Mr H and being told a rude joke. And then talking to his mum, which was a bit surreal for me! I remember talking to Lofty near the door of the pub, too. Good times.

We went back to the digs for about 9.30 and missed it all...

Just out of curiosity: was there a first edition of this CD with the wrong date on the cover, or something like that? Or has someone been meddling with this one?

Hmm, there were delays in sending the album out so I wonder if an error in the artwork was the reason. The copy I have has the correct date on it.
