Is there any chance of there being a song chord/TAB book released to accompany any of the albums? In particular Coles Corner. They are only available individually.

I've been thinking about this a bit lately, the way I'd do it would be very simple, just the chords and lyrics in an easy to understand way does that seem about right to anyone who's interested?I'd hate to make it too posh/high brow they are after all the simplest songs on the whole to play,I can get a bit flash now and again with the twiddly bits but the basic chords are pretty simple and I'd like to keep the presentation of these humble little tunes in accordance with that philosophy let me know how YOU feel about I do listen folks

Brilliant idea! :D And I'm sure your way of keeping it simple will not only allow everybody to get started, but will also be an inspiration to players like myself, who too often stand in their own way when figuring out how a certain song is played. (I only say: "Long Black Train". )

Yes, that sounds straight forward enough to not put me off attempting anything :thumleft:
Wonder if there's a way to include simple tabs for selected solos 8)

Simple chords would be great - I always figure that if you're clever enough to read Tab, that you're probably clever enough to play it anyway!!

I prefer just 'lyrics and chords' books myself. Sure tab books show you how to play every little harmonic, but sitting down with the bare bones on the page is more rewarding. This series is great

When you see Richard at a book signing as him for the tab to The Ocean as your dedication

I was going to ask for a treble and bass clef score - like you used to get in sheet music years ago - but 'bottled it' with just saying :Hoorah ..> :D or something of that nature...

:Hoorah Any of your ideas would be good for me. If it's just the lyrics and chords, that would be of great help. If some tabs are added, that would be of great help too. I'd like the chords to be charted, though, not just named (or whatever that is called). I mean, knowing that a C7 chord must be played at some point would be very helpful, but knowing also it must be played in the eighth fret, for example, would be even better. In any case, as I said before, my guitar playing and ear training are at such levels that just being told 'take the guitar out of its case' would be considered a gigant leap forward.

That's something I'd really look forward to. Difficult bit I suppose is going to be choosing the songs for the book - unless you're thinking of following up with volumes II and III? :D

Good idea. I remember once upon a time song books always used to seem to be for piano for some reason. Even if there was no piano in the band.

I would certainly buy songbooks - words and chords would be just fine. :D
