I would agree with butchersdog; Room with a view is one of my faves and I have never seen it performed live.

It would be fantastic to hear some more sea chanteys, traditional folk songs, early blues, soul, golden age country, protest songs, maybe some murder ballads at some point in the proceedings. Kind of more roots music. It would be even better to hear some more of these things on an album eventually. :)

if we were to be indulged with a cover? I'd agree with Longpig... Some Candy Talking... That's a mind blowing version on record and live it would be something else.... It's a borderline crime against humanity it's not been tried live.. Other then that... Run For Me .... The non slow version.... Not that deep a cut but hey it would be great to hear that again... Of course the looking forward to the new stuff also.. Like its Christmas in Vicar St.. It will be.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

A difficult choice, but would love to hear "Something Is...!", the first track from Late Night Final,

It'd be great to have another chance to hear Danny Rose as was played on the Bright Phoebus concerts. I'll be at the concert in Bristol if Mr Hawley is reading!

Sick Pay . . . that song should have never been a b-side . . . unless he was just going for the 3 songs about "baby" ep

My pick would be
As the dawn breaks..
that song, like all of Richard's is pure poetry and I try and start my day listening to it
I love it.

I'm in complete agreement and my thoughts echoing this have been bouncing off the forum walls for many a year... He even teases us sometimes by putting it on the setlist and not playing it... aghhh .. Although it did feature in the real early gigs... Class song in all seriousness.. Be nice to hear it again live...
