Hi . A number of people have commented already about vinyl-or new vinyl. I do remember that the quality of vinyl would vary a lot in the past. Some of it awful.

Now people are saying what they hear on vinyl is a revelation. I do recall some things having a different feel about them on vinyl. Do you go along with that? I bought Hollow Meadows just recently and looked at the LP version. As I recall once you start collecting, they do take up a lot of space, and attract dust and wear out slightly with each play! When CDs came out the best thing for me was being able to just play the tracks I wanted as often on albums 2 were good, the rest not so good. The best track on the new album is "The world looks down".

I love vinyl, but to be honest I don't care that much what format I listen to something on. I buy CDs, downloads and even tapes. I've got this Lee Dorsey compilation record where Joe Strummer did the notes on the back. He wrote something like "I'm currently listening to Ride Your Pony on a cheap radio which sounds better if I put it at the bottom of an empty wheelie bin". Sometimes you want vinyl warmth and sometimes you want Lee Dorsey coming out of a bin. Does that makes any sense? :eh?
