This is my first post here, so I just wanted to say a quick "Hello" to everyone and ask when new stuff is going to be flipping released? I hate the three year release cycle that many seem to follow, so I'm hoping 2018 isn't going to be the year. :-)

Never really looked at the album release dates - was more concerned with getting to see the band live - which being in the UK happens quite often.

I can see how the time between albums would get longer - what with increased popularity meaning more tour dates and opportunities coming your way to do associated music projects - so three years between records is pretty small.

Was reading an article the other day from another of my favourites [Ron Sexsmith] who has pretty much been releasing an album almost very two years and after the best part of 20 years is 'reviewing' his future in the music business, as I suspect he is knackered, it's as though all your hopes and dreams as an upcoming band are met by a break into the music business - only for you to later find what was once creative freedom becomes tied to the constraints of business.
