I know what you mean about memories....neither of my kids have lived in any other house other than this one and although Mr Maggie and me get itchy feet from time to time the fact that the kids both love it here puts us off moving....the memories are in the fabric of the house. Even 'though we've heavily extended the house it just seems to have shrunk as the kids got bigger.....maybe we'll rattle around in a huge empty TIDY space once they've gone! Your little 'uns are young enough to form a whole new set of memories....you seem really content, it's nice to see x

I'm only listening to Mr H's music when i'm in the car now, it keeps me calm. I got through Coles Corner the other morning whilst trying to go south through the Tyne Tunnel. That place boils my piss.

Same here! I have all of my albums and singles in the car. I'm also a huge fan of Richard's instrumental work, and have made a compilation of those:

Sheffield on Sea
Caravan
Aran Loop (makes me laugh because of the knitting shop inspired title!)
Danny (makes me cry because it's so beautiful)
Spanish Wine
Let It Come Slowly Towards You
Last Orders (makes me think fondly of my dad who died last year)
Light At The End of The Tunnel
Kelham Island
A Bird Never Flew On One Wing
I'm Absolutely Hank Marvin
Also added The Ocean ... how could I not?!

..... bliss ... I even sometimes love traffic jams! :D

This is an i-mix i did a while back, (excuse the comments about morrissey i was angry with him at the time for storming off the stage at his gig at The Sage in Gateshead, looked forward to it for months and he only did an hour, he doesn't like the north east)

Jan, you have inspired me to make this playlist... Listened to it a few times now & I'm loving it. Thank you :)

'Coles Corner' is my favourite album to iron to. And I cleaned my fridge out while I listened to it the other night - it took the whole album. I haven't got a very big fridge so it must've been minging...or maybe I just got carried away....

I'm working at home today - usually that involves a few phone calls, an occasional cursory glance at my work laptop and then most of the time devoted to my personal emails and household admin, work expenses, forum time ... and a lot of time staring into space!

It's a good way to pass the time 'tho.

That has reminded me of when I first got out of hospital and one of my mates came round to see me and took me down to the pub in my wheelchair (thankfully long gone, hurrah!) She was off work as she was covered in pustules following an allergic reaction to something.

I said at the time that we must've looked like Stephen Hawkins and the Singing Detective on a trip out..just thought I'd share that....
