It's tricky. As long as your swearing is clearly not intended to cause offence or ridicule someone, then no-one should take offence. There's probably only one word that still generally causes offence to women and I haven't heard you use that on stage.

I was listening to a Hawley live cd(thanks to the kind Baroness) and it is peppered with certain 'words'...........................but not offensive at all................Richard is just being himself..........and thats why I like him.....................and his music............

don't change laddo. All artists should be true to themselves, whatever. They'll start talking to you about demographics & all that bollocks next. Play the tunes and swear, it's what you do and are good at.
