I was driving back from a gig last night and Mark Lamarr played 'Sweet Dreams' by Patsy Cline. Hadn't heard it in eons. Fuck me, what a record. What a singer. What an interpretation. I'm in a bit of an emotional state at the mo anyway, but that one touched a nerve. I have a few songs of hers; all the more well know ones - any more recommendations?

Patsy Cline = Goddess  8)

Have a listen to Three Cigarettes In An Ashtray. It's a cracker.

One of my faves is "Have you ever been lonely, Have you ever been Blue" or "Crazy"

I grew up with Patsy Cline. My mum was a huge fan, and every Saturday without fail I would be woken by her voice. It took me a few years to really appreciate her, but when it hit home, it did so in a big way. "Sweet Dreams" is a classic, one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar.

It's such a shame she was taken from us so soon.. like so many of the greats of that time. Damn aeroplanes.

I'd love to see a new Patsy Cline retrospective released with the quote 'Fuck Me. What a record!'- Sir Twangalot emblazoned on the front cover. There'd be one or two shocked pensioner deaths in the aisles of HMV come that day.

Funny thing, was just listening to her earlier and now I find this. She's got you and Crazy are two fantastic tunes.
