Nice selection, Alf. Quality covers, as usual :D

Only one problem....the Candi Payne song is not authorised, so it gets skipped in iTunes, and you can't get round it by burning the playlist to disc.

Btw, is there an automatic way of importing a zipped playlist like yours back into iTunes so that the tracks are arranged in the correct order? It's not immediately apparent how to do it on a PC

Re second question - don't know of a way but what I do is go into windows explorer and click into each track starting with the first, which makes them copy to iTunes in that order.

And re first question - with a protected iTunes song it is always best to burn it to CD first, re-import it and then use that version to copy to this type of mix-tape - but remember they embed details in the track which remain with it so if ever the download 'police' take action they can identify who passed the track on.

Forgot I'd purchased the Candie Payne track - it was only a b-side on the vinyl........... I've got a copy I've burnt onto a disc, I'll re-import it and post it later.
The only way I could see to get tracks in the correct order was to incorporate the track number into the title before zipping, but even that doesn't always seem to work, so it's a case of following the sleeves tracklisting I'm afraid.

And grace is just the measure of a fall.

I'd say you're better to keep him on his toes, you know what those thieving bastards are like. Barely do half a days work and then expect a tip at Christmas. Plus they get free shorts in the summer.

British posties have it hard man....my brother nearly shit his pants when he was here visiting and the postman drove his little mail truck from mailbox to mailbox delivering the mail, if there is a car parked in front of your mailbox instead of getting out to walk the 4ft...he just doesn't deliver your mail that day.

Was mildly embarrassed on Thursday. Had a presentation on a memory-pen, stuck it in the PC and was busy copying it over on to laptop ... which meant all files displayed on the overhead during this process, when bloke running the event said "I don't suppose you'd like to explain the boyhoy swop?" Yep, tracklist file from last year's swop.

As I finally got the discs posted, about 3 months after I shoulda, I realised I didn't include a tracklisting, rather than PM it, I figured I'd post it up, so here we go,

"Attempt1 Disc"
    James Luther Dickinson - Wine
    Johnny Thunders - Pipeline
Dale Hawkins - Ruby, Don't take your love to town
    Buddy Love - Heartbreak Hotel
The White Stripes - Stop Breaking Down
    The Dirtbombs - Underdog
    The Huntsmen - Fever
The Black Keys - Grown So Ugly
Junior Kimbrough & The Soul Blues Boys - Crawlin' King Snake
James Luther Dickinson & The Cramps - Red Headed Women
    Geezers - Folsom Prison Blues
    The Vagrants - Respect
Brave New World - Train Kept A Rollin'
    Dean Carter - Jailhouse Rock
The Kinks - Milk Cow Blues
The Flamin' Groovies - Tallahassie Lassie
Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers - Do You Love Me
    Guitar Wolf - Summertime Blues
Dead Kennedys - Viva Las Vegas

"Attempt2 Disc" (I deleted the play list so the order isn't right - sorry)
The Flying Burrito Brothers - To Love Somebody
Gillian Welch - Time (The Revelator)
    Neil Diamond - Oh Mary
The Flamingos - I Only Have Eyes For You
James Yorkston - Woozy With Cider
Sandy Denny - Who Knows Where The Time Goes
Sonny Charles And The Checkmates - Black Pearl
Tim Hardin - Reason To Believe
Sam Cooke - Thats Where Its At
    Nick Cave - Love Letter
    J.J. Cale - Magnolia
Willard Grant Conspiracy - Evening Mass
Townes Van Zandt - St John The Gambler
    Bob Dylan - Wedding Song
The Handome Family - Weightless Again
David Johanson - James Alley Blues
    Tindersticks - Here
The Lovin' Spoonfull - Darlin' Be Home Soon

As well as a dodgy order, there may be one or two missing. Thought it had 20 tracks, and thats 18. If there are some missing and you don't know what they are drop me a lyrical hint and I'll work it out!

thanks
