One of the things that I like most about this board is the eclectic range of music people are passionate about and in the couple of years I've been on here I've listened to stuff because someone has recommended it on here. Some of them just confirm my extreme prejudices, others I wouldn't have come to in a month of Sundays. Others I've been meaning to get for years and got the boot up the backside because of things people have said on here (Dillard and Clark!)

So here's ten in no order that I blame on the board

Dr Ross - Boogie Disease

Dave Phillips and the Hot Rod Gang - Wild Youth

Sonny Boy Williamson - King Biscuit Time

Avett Brothers - Emotionalism

Beth Gibbons and Rustin Man- Out of Season

Dillard and Clark - The Fantastic Expedition Of .....

The Raveonettes - Chain Gang of Love

The Rock 'N' Roll Fever!: The Wildest from Specialty (Cherokke Dance!)

Joe Henry - Civilians

Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan - Ballad of the Broken Seas

and that's just what springs to mind immediately and doesn't include all the things I've raked out of whatever dark corner they've been hiding in.

Not specific records, but i've got Monty to blame for the Chris Mills and Matthew Ryan shaped holes in my wallet, and Mrs Ample for more stuff than i care to remember. I always be (begrudgingly) greatful for the Old 97's.

Mine's more the artist's I'd not have heard of without this forum rather than individual records
littlelostdavid
Liam Dullaghan
Dark Little Rooms
Bob Frank and John Murry

and those I would not have bothered to listen to without the recommendation of people on here

Amy Winehouse
Elbow
Arctic Monkeys

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

I blame this board for introducing me to the world of

CHARLES E. CULLEN

and
the beautiful
Image

And it was here that I first heard about ARCTIC MONKEYS and REVEREND & THE MAKERS.

It also kinda put LITTLE WALTER, DION and the EVERLY BROTHERS into my focus again.

Thanks to everyone on here who contributed to this! :D

I've discovered

The 5 Silvers

Lonesome Spurs

And a couple of Eoin's posts made me dig out my Cowboy Junkie's albums. :*:
