There was a great programme on umpteen years ago about the song with loads of different versions. Shane MacGowan did a great version, but there are so many super renditions. A pure song, and they are often bastardised

I love the song ,but at the moment the only version i can remember is the father of the boxer Barry Mcguigan. his dad used to sing it before his fights.
