Now that we know that Richard's new album will be out in the autumn - and the way he has described it -
'It is without doubt my best effort yet and the weirdest in a lot of ways'

I'm declaring as my most anticipated album. So what has been/is your most anticipated album?

of this year?

the second Grinderman album, which last I heard is meant to be coming out at the latter end of the year, I have heard a couple of new songs and they are sounding really good.

Mine was Liam McKahey's solo album (Lonely Road) which came out late last month. (Not that I had to wait for it - I had the music for some time as I was involved in getting it released but there's still the excitement of seeing it on sale and reading the reviews).

Stretching the question a little. Collecting The Shadows in the 1980s, one album was impossible to get - ''From Hank, Bruce, Brian & John'' from 1967. After searching for almost two years it suddenly dropped into my lap. Euphoric was an understatement :D

any of my favourite bands really, I remember in particular looking forward to Pulp's This Is Hardcore for what seemed like an age and wasnt dissapointed. I had a copy on cassette which I literally wore out that summer, still fuckin love that record to death.

And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Probably the new Jarvis album, because when I fell in love with his music his first one was already out, so I'd never really experienced all the hype and stuff. I'm looking forward to the new Hawley one too, but that's too far away for me to get really excited.

Morrissey's "Year of Refusal" , Siouxsie & The Banshee's at The BBC which is out next week particularly the DVD of all of their TV appearances, Richard's album of course, the new Patrick Wolf album out next month, the Madness album which I bought on Fri & on my wish list would be a second Last Shadow Puppets album.

Without sounding like a suck arse, it's got to be Richards new one. Ticked off the Manics and Camera Obscura, so that's all I'm left anticipating I think.

In recent times - Probably the 3 Pulp re-issued albums from a couple of years ago. At that stage I was an obsessive (still am, like) and the thought of hearing songs that were only demoed and never released, kept me very excited before I finally got them.

After hearing 'The Streets Are Ours' on the radio while painting the living room in August '07 , RH's last one was very much anticipated.

Others that spring to mind - Portishead's return last year after being gone yonks, The Strokes second lp (bit of a disappointment in the end) and Kate Bush's last one too.

Free - Heartbreaker

From my days as a youth.

Ian Hunter [Man Overboard] July 21 + Richard Hawley [XXXXX] Sept XX

For my days as a grumpy old bleeder.

Thanks to folks on here for posting their personal 'likes' - using the musical portal of my space - I've bought a few more CD's and seen a few more live concerts in 09 than in past years...

I'm looking forward to Elvis Presley's comeback album.
