thoughts anyone? (except craig)

it's taken me a while to get into her stuff. i always liked her voice but once i heard 'seventh tree' it sort of all came together.

wonderful stuff. would love to see her live - thought she was ace at glastonbury last year.

I'm a big fan...Felt Mountain is my favorite. I first checked her out after a reveiw I read described her as "Kraftwerk with a clitoris" (no offense intended). 8)

Her first album is a bit dodgy but her other 3 are excellent. I haven't seen her live either but would like to.

Really like all her/their albums, but only listen to them occasionally. Seventh Tree is my favourite. It really taps into that beguiling quality to her vocals.

I have only got the one album "Black Cherry" which I love but I must check out their other stuff. I saw them live once supporting Duran Duran and their were brilliant.

I wasn't so keen on Black Cherry but really got into Godfrapp with Supernature. Having said that, Seventh Tree is my favoruite of theirs. They just keep getting better and better in my opinion AND, of course, they're label mates with our very own Mr H.

I agree. Seventh Tree is their best album yet. It's gotten a lot
of play at my house.I also really enjoy their videos.I like the fact
that they don't do the standard, boring, look pretty for the camera
videos, and put some effort into making them creative. The fact that
Alison is easy on the eyes, doesn't hurt. What's that expression you
British use again.Oh yeah, she's fit.

She has an amazing live voice. I love A and E. Used to think it was very unsingle-y, but it grew on me.

Fantasitc, fantastic. I did once suggest to Mr Hawley that they should duet. I've always imagined when I heard 'Colonge Ceronne Houdini' that it would make a lush Bond theme with the blend of their voices. I didn't get the chance to explain my imaginations as Hawley, dryly said 'no fucking way.'

Anyhow, they're a fantastic band. Aside from Kate Bush she has the voice, the style, the charisma to own any other female artist I've heard before or since. Even though there's a tinge of retro to their work, they seem to have developed their own style and their songwriting is, for want of a better word, ace.

Is she Robbie Williams in disguise? Has anybody seen them in the same room?
