I didn't recognise him without the hat! :*: It was wierd seeing him with a full backing band and singers as well, I've only ever seen (and heard) him on his own when he's supported Richard.

The whole of the show was top drawer - the kind of gig when you dont care who comes up next as they're all good - even LCD Sound Thingy were fine in a power pop way - and Crowded House at the end was a laugh.

However I don't belive Jools when he goes on about it being totally live - it wasn't until the Millenium that I realised Hootananny was pre recorded from the first week in December - talk about a balloon being burst at the age of 43 :cry:

Excellent piece by Pete tho' - love his acoustic work - but the band and the twang added buckets of grind - really looking forward to Fridays extended programme.

Now when is Neil McSweeney getting on Later?
