The insipid version of 'Run' by Leona Lewis realy crawls up my pipe. I hate everything about it - the dreary video, her lacklustre voice...people should be fined for doing this to a song...

Cheers, Steve.

On that theme I was never keen on Bryan Ferry's version of 'Jealous Guy'

but it's all Bowie, Ronno (& the spiders?); Lulu barely gets a look in. Bowie does the sax, backing vocals, harmonies, doubles the lead vocals here and there....

It is pretty bad though.

Watch That Man on the B-side was a bit better.

Under The Bridge by All Saints anybody?

Been wondering when that would be be brought up.

I wouldn't have that Pet Shop Boys one in there as that that bad. ha.
Can't think of many specific bad covers apart from the obvious which don't need mentioning.
But in terms of serious artists covering serious songs badly when they should know better, and on the subject of Bowie (above), his version of "Wild is the Wind" is very poor next to Nina Simone's.

Originally I used to like Jose Feliciano's version back in 1968/9 (?) but then I heard the original and was saved ............ :D

I am NO huge Lennon fan - but have to admit to not disliking that one... I certainly wouldn't throw it into this particular den on iniquities.
