There is a FaceBook group to get The Smiths to No1 in the UK charts on Feb 11th to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Meat Is Murder. This would be truely brilliant if it happened.

Can't see it happening though alas. I think the same thing happened with a Smiths song last year and it got nowhere near. The NME did the God Save The Queen for number 1 campaign and I think it got to about 53 or something!

I wasn't arsed at first about the RATM thing..but a couple of days in and Cowells smug comments I immediately purchased a copy. It was a laugh, though I don't think it'll happen again quickly.

What I was inspired by though, was just what the internet is capable of in the terms of change. This was just a silly game in the charts..but in time, the same thing could really effect politics.
