This is by Gary Daly, singer with China Crisis

and this is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oj20LKdg8-8

Wishful thinking...one of ,in my humble opinion, the most relevant and beautiful songs the 80`s brought. And by a band which really represented what i consider "Pop" should be,entertainment with a mixture of elegance and nostalgia..."tragedy and mistery"-"blue sea"-"working with fire and steel" ,"Christian" and the aforementioned...brilliant stuff.

What do you think? Do you like China Crisis?

Charles.

I have a few China Crisis albums, my favourite is 'Flaunt the Imperfection', some great tracks on there, 'Wall of God', 'The Highest High' - brilliant. First album is great too, despite the ridiculously long title!

I have only ever owned one of their albums - the one with 'Christian' and 'Africa and White' on. I used to thrash it, but never listened to much of their other stuff. Dunno why really, as I liked what I heard.

Cheers, Steve.

They played the Whatfest last Summer - about 1/2 a mile down the road from our house - it rained for most of the weekend - but the turnout wasn't too bad a few thousand each day for three days - we walked the dogs to the perimeter of the festival site and 'wishful thinking' caressed our ears borne on the breeze.
