Favourite records...
Ones that have came out this year? Erm, I can't really think of many. I'll say "Ain't Good Enough for You" by Springsteen, even though it was recorded about 30 years ago

Favourite Richard Hawley gig(s)...
None  I haven't seen the man live yet

Favourite gig(s) (non Hawley)...

Paul McCartney, Dublin (June 12th)
Snoop Dogg @ Glasto
Stevie Wonder @ Glasto (he sung 'Happy Birthday' on my birthday and I was there with about 30 friends/family!)

Greatest Musical discovery 2010

I can now play barre chords 8) haha

It's been a cracking year as far as I'm concerned. Been to some fanatastic gigs, my first festival and heard some wonderful music (old and new).

Some of the highlights

Albums/CDs
I am Kloot - Sky at Night
John Grant - Queen of Denmark
The National - High Violet
Band of Horses - Infinite Arms

Hawley gig
Festival Hall back in January

Non-Hawley gig (couldn't possibly pick just one!)
Mark Lanegan - Union Chapel
John Grant - Queen Elizabeth Hall
The National - Royal Albert Hall
David McAlmont (and Bernard Butler) - Leicester Square Theatre

Discovery of the year
Dylan LeBlanc
Daniel Lefkowitz

Festival performances (End of the Road)
Iron and Wine
Wilco
Low Anthem

Favourite records...

A top ten, in no particular order...

Joel Plaskett - Three To One
The National - High Violet
Quiet Loner - Spectrology
Boss Caine - The Ship That Sailed
Otis Gibbs - Joe Hill's Ashes
Deer Park - Deer Park
Luke Doucet & The White Falcon - Steel City Trawler
Tensheds - Crazy Beautiful
Liam Dullaghan - Making History
Huw Costin - LP2

Bit of a cheat as the last 2 aren't even out until this year, but that was the new stuff what i was mostly listened to. Justin Townes Earle would most likely have nudged into the list but only got it at Christmas and not had a proper listen yet.

Favourite Richard Hawley gig(s)...

Only one i did this year was the pickanick, so i guess it would have to be that.

Favourite gig(s) (non Hawley)...

The Neil McSweeney gigs at The Boardwalk, Tramlines in general again and far too many of my own to mention but lots of great nights at The Grapes. :(

Greatest Musical discovery 2010

My favourite new to me listen but not new was probably Chuck Ragan's Gold Country. And also getting a copy of Case Hardin's Hard Feelings which has probably been my most played new but not new thing this year.
