Richard Hawley

Whilst listening to Radio 2 the other evening (as I was forced to undertake the washing up) I was tuned into a country show (it could have been 'Bob Harriss' Country, or something like that) and I was struck by just how close in structure and tempo the music being played was to that of Sir Richard's.

Saying that I have never really considered his music to be country, or Americana (hardly!) or whatever.

So, folks what genre does the music we all love so much actually fall into?

Answers on a post-card please, to....

There's definitely country elements in there along with pop, rock, psychedelic music, crooners, maybe a little jazz or something too... i think he, as every musician does, melds together their life with the sounds that inspire them and make their own sound that might not be exactly one genre ... or something like that
